BULLETT MAGAZINE, AGYNESS DEYN ON BECOMING AN ACTOR, EARLY RETIREMENT & THE BEAUTY OF STRIPPING

Agyness Deyn invented the hip supermodel. In a sea of faceless waifs, she was all peroxide pixie cut, rock and roll boyfriends and generally not giving a shit. Aggy always had the attitude to propel herself far beyond the “seen and not heard” category. It therefore comes as little surprise that she owns the role of Flo, the heroine-addicted stripper in Luis Preito’s British reboot of the Danish cult film, Pusher. Generously laden with sex, violence, and, of course, narcotics, Pusher follows a week in the life of a drug dealer, a career that if you had any interest in pursuing before you saw the film, you certainly will not afterwards.

VANITY FAIR.COM, AGYNESS DEYN ON HER TRANSITION FROM FASHION MODEL TO SERIOUS ACTRESS

Considered one of the top models of the 2000s, runway beauty Agyness Deyn has decided to shift focus from fashion to film at the age of 29. A chameleon in the beauty world—thanks in part to continuous variations on her usually short-cropped hairstyles—Deyn’s first formal acting credit is 2010′s Clash of the Titans, in which the model fittingly played Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love. To prove herself as more than just an unfairly symmetrical face, the formerVogue cover model veers into the seedy underworld of gangsters, drugs, and sex next, in the forthcoming thriller Pusher. In the remake of Nicolas Winding Refn’s 1996 original, Deyn co-stars as Flo, the stripper girlfriend of the film’s downward-spiraling drug pusher (Richard Coyle). by Julie Miller

AGYNESS DEYN FOR DR. MARTENS

At the age of 13, Agyness Deyn bought her first pair of Dr. Martens.

This became a defining moment in the creation of her original style and identity – a statement of self expression, a stamp of belonging as well as rebellion. An attitude, a spirit and instinct which is shared by countless individuals, tribes and subcultures across the world.

Now Agyness and Dr. Martens are taking this relationship one step further, by creating a collection together which brings together two British icons to celebrate what they both stand for – championing personal style & identity.
